PETER'S LATEST PROJECT CHOSEN FOR SUNDANCE

Plus, his film "Robert Shaw" selected for PBS' American Masters in May

Premiering at BFF in 2016, "Robert Shaw - Man of Many Voices" won three Southeast EMMY Awards and is now slated to air on PBS' American Masters on May 17.  

Directed by Peter Miller - an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose films, including AKA Doc PomusJews and Baseball: An American Love Story, and Sacco and Vanzetti, have screened in cinemas and on television throughout the world. He has also been a producer on numerous landmark PBS series directed by Ken Burns. 

Peter founded Willow Pond Films which is focuses on history, social issues, and music. His documentaries tell human stories – of idealists, underdogs, visionaries, and not-so-ordinary Americans. 

Peter is currently finishing up Bedlam for screening at Sundance Film Fest at the end of January, about the national mental health crisis in the U.S. "I'm very pleased that it’s going be launched in such a high profile venue," reports Peter. Learn more in the Sundance “Meet the Filmmaker”.

He also recently completed a short called Egg Cream and is working on new films: Quality of Life, about the movement for Palliative Care in medicine; Jews Rock & Roll; and  Marcella, about the legendary Italian cookbook writer, Marcella Hazan. Peter hopes to return to Breckenridge with any and all of them!
